About The Position

The Software Engineer will have a proven background in software engineering with code development, technical analysis, and solution design skills. The Software Engineer must have the ability to communicate effectively with software engineering teams at a technical level and effectively communicate with non-technical team members to ensure all constituents have a complete and accurate understanding of solutions being developed. The Software Engineer must have the ability to independently implement quality and defect-free features and fixes in a Java Services AWS Hosted Application Stack. The Software Engineer must be self-motivated and collaborative.

Requirements

• Background and experience of custom development of Java applications on AWS Hosted environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field or related work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressively related experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems.
• Experience in organizations practicing Agile best practices.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge and experience developing Java Based custom applications in AWS Hosted environments.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and developing applications with a sense of forward and backward compatibility being considered in designs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse audience in a technical and non-technical manner.
• Ability to develop epics and stories in Jira or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of multiple development methodologies including Agile.
• Strong understanding and hands on experience with AI enabled software delivery.
• Recommends improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team.
• Strong understanding of test automation benefits.
• Strong understanding of performance test design, execution, and analysis to ensure resilient and stable high volume applications.
• Experience in organization running fully automated, end-to-end CI/CD processes.
• Experience building dashboards and with a understanding of logging best practices, log aggregation with tools such as Splunk.
• Experience working through incident resolution and product enhancement requests.
