About The Position

The C2BMC Next Program, based in Huntsville AL, is seeking a Software Engineer to provide software development in the Java language for the Regional Applications/ Battle Management Sensor Resource Management (BM/SRM) team. Your primary responsibilities will be software development using Java, able to work with other people using good verbal and written communication on the C2BMC program. As a Software Engineer, you will work independently or with a small group and be flexible in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Requirements

  • Experience using Java and with agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment
  • Knowledge of software practices and coding standards
  • Experience developing enterprise applications on Linux (Windows experience also desired).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and operational issues, identify root cause, recommend, design and implement a solution.
  • Use of common software development and management tools such as maven, GitHub, nexus and Eclipse.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms for scheduling, task management, and tracking project progress.
