About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Technology, Data, and AI Engineering team in supporting internal business processes, branded communications and scam protection services. In this role, you will be responsible for validating business process workflows, APIs, and data pipelines. This includes working with and ensuring proper accuracy of AI agentic applications to help provide proper business insights and analytics which will support our scam protection and branded communications systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java or Python.
  • Curious, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies including emerging AI/ML tools.
  • Full working knowledge of Git
  • 2+ years of experience with a Cloud Computing Service, such as AWS
  • 1+ years of SQL experience
  • Self-starter personality with the ability to wear multiple hats to create solutions
  • Ability and mindset to dive into unfamiliar problems and come up with unique solutions
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to robocall mitigation frameworks or spam filtering systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of LLMs, AI models, and harnesses.
  • Knowledge of telecom call flow signaling (SIP, RTP).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop API endpoints, enabling secure and demonstrably performant data exchange with the rest of the middleware system in the cloud or on-premises using Java, Python, etc.
  • Write software design specifications using modern design patterns
  • Design and develop parts of the solution responsible for storing and retrieving data from the various data stores, including service buses, distributed cache systems, both RDBMS and No-SQL databases
  • Design, implement, and write test software for both the delivered solutions and the surrounding architecture
  • Work with performance in mind to ensure high scalability is achieved and required KPIs are met
  • Contribute to advancing reliability and performance of the Service Architecture, introduce new performance counters and instrumentation points
  • Stay abreast of developments in relevant technologies
  • Work with Databricks as our primary data analytics platform
  • Deploying solutions in AWS and working with other systems in the cloud
  • Expand documentation of existing services
  • Researching and designing new AI skills, tools, and agentic applications
