About The Position

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Software Engineer within our Alpha division. This position falls under our Cross Border of business and is located in Toronto. In this role, you will design, develop, and support scalable software solutions. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and regularly collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology-focused discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a collaborative development environment.
• Strong passion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Proven ability to work effectively within agile, team-oriented environments.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to design and implement practical, scalable solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with browser troubleshooting, debugging practices, and performance optimization (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS and C# .NET Core (preferred, not required).
• Working knowledge of modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS, RESTful APIs, and WebSockets (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with agile, cross-functional teams to design and deliver resilient, scalable technology solutions.
• Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality software solutions.
• Owning the full code lifecycle, from design and development through testing, deployment, and in-life support.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code to ensure performance, quality, and scalability.
• Developing new features and enhancements through iterative releases to continuously improve the user experience.
• Participating in code reviews, pull request reviews, and design discussions to uphold engineering standards.
• Troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues by collaborating with engineers and stakeholders.
• Contributing to the modernization of the client-facing platform using current and emerging technologies.
• Documenting code and technical solutions to ensure long-term maintainability, reusability, and knowledge sharing.
• Supporting the creation of modular layouts, reusable components, and shared libraries for future development.
