About The Position
VTG is looking for a full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment
- Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
- College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
Nice To Haves
- Experience with at least two of the following big data tools: Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase
Responsibilities
- Performing schema updates in Solr or Elastic Search
- Submitting Lucene queries
- Understanding how Solr/Elastic shards work
- Tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
- Working in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase
- Hands-on, back-end Java development implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
