About The Position

Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain software, products and/or systems. Identify improvements in systems and work and participate in estimation process, use case specifications, reviews of test plans and test cases, requirements, and project planning by providing subject matter expertise in the software development process. Provide technical guidance, supervise others, provide instructions, and debug code written by team members as well as mentor developers in developing code and workflows. Perform application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environment and technical documentation; support software through the entire software development life cycle. Document code and processes. Self-starter, motivated, and actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology, contribution of this level spans across the team and the development platform. Consistently hit development time estimates without underestimating or overestimating ability. Guide and mentor junior developers in developing code and workflow procedures, and conduct code reviews. Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environment and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in software development or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation in software development
  • Source code control management systems: SVN, Git, or Subversion
  • Agile development methodology and CI/CD using Maven or Jenkins
  • Spring Framework technologies (Spring Boot or Hibernate), and SQL
  • Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Configuration automation tools: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Salt Stack
  • At least 3 of the following: Java, J2EE, Python, Go, Perl, Ruby, C, C++, Micro services, JMS, XML, Kubernetes, Chef, Terraform, Cassandra, or Postgres
  • At least 2 of the following logging and monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, GCP Stack driver, Apigee, Dynatrace, or App dynamics
