About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the Integration (I2) Business Unit. The I2 Business Unit focuses on integrating technologies to deliver innovative solutions for our customers and is growing to meet increasing demand. This role involves building compelling visual interfaces, ranging from gaming UIs to web-based applications, powered by a back-end data pipeline, and collaborating closely with peers. The software products developed will support multiple interconnected applications within a single project, integrating with an internal backend toolset to present simulation data for improved tactical decision-making by soldiers.

Requirements

US Citizenship.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience developing with game engine technology such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or CryEngine.
Proficiency in a programming language such as C, C++, C#, or Java.
Strong, natural problem-solving skills.
Ability to contribute to multiple codebases simultaneously.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Work alongside developers, artists, and customers to build quality software products, supporting multiple interconnected applications within a single project.
Integrate with an internal backend toolset to present simulation data in a way that helps soldiers make better tactical decisions.
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze software programs for computer-based systems.
Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.
Provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs.
