About The Position

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement software solutions from inception to production. This role involves solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices, participating in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards, documenting specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. The engineer will identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues, assist with design reviews, take an active role in code reviews, and participate in project planning sessions. Additionally, the role requires engaging with stakeholders, including business partners, other technical partners, and UI/UX partners, and working with the production support team to triage issues and determine root causes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, QA Automation Manager, Automation Engineer, Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with QA and Automation including development of automated test scripts using Selenium.
  • Seven (7) years of experience preparing component test conditions and test cases, and automating and executing it during regression and system testing.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Mobile testing and mobile automation on operating systems including iOS and Android.
  • Three (3) years of experience testing POS applications.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing various testing types in the software development process, including Integration, User Acceptance, and End-to-End testing.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement software solutions from inceptions to production.
  • Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
  • Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules.
  • Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.
  • Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.
  • Take active role in code reviews to ensure that solutions align to pre-defined architectural specifications.
  • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
  • Understand the requirements and size the effort with concise estimation.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including business partners, other technical partners, UI/UX partners, etc.
  • Work with production support team in order to triage the issues and come up with RCA's involved for resolving the same.
