About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer. This is a Full-Time, 12-month contract position located onsite in Salt Lake City, UT 84116. As a Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain software for embedded devices and communication systems. You will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, coding, integration, and testing. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and program teams to deliver software solutions and create/maintain software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation. Additionally, you will conduct peer reviews, identify defects, support debugging/troubleshooting, and assist with software integration, system validation, and proposal/bid activities as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of software engineering experience with embedded systems development
Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented software development
Experience with Linux, Windows, and embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Knowledge of embedded systems design, multi-threaded programming, and software troubleshooting
Strong communication, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities
