About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Chicago, IL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role involves developing and supporting a Transaction Reporting Regulatory Application for OTC Derivatives and FX products across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development within an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 1+ years of Object-Oriented Programming experience
• 1+ years of Python programming experience in an enterprise development environment
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.)
• Experience with testing (unit, integration, etc.), along with test automation
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC
• Experience with distributed message system design/development
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Knowledge of how to build and use RESTful APIs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks

Nice To Haves

• Experience in regulatory transaction reporting for CFTC, EMIR, or MiFID II

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and supporting a Transaction Reporting Regulatory Application
• Work across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes for OTC Derivatives and FX products
• Utilize Agile development life-cycle methodologies
