We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to serve as both a general-purpose developer and data integrator on an exciting, up-and-coming project. In this role, you will design, develop, and integrate solutions that analyze large data sets and deliver mission-centric insights to the people who need them most. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, fellow software and systems engineers, and systems administrators to build and integrate cutting-edge AI/ML technologies into a real operational environment. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of software engineering and emerging technology — someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves on hard problems and translating stakeholder needs into intelligent, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

  • An active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph is required for this role
  • 8 years of software engineering experience , with a B.S. in a technical discipline; or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Production-grade software development experience in Python
  • Demonstrated experience working with AI, LLMs, and emerging technologies
  • Experience deploying and managing services in cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure
  • Hands-on experience with service containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with version control tools including Git and Bitbucket
  • Experience documenting work using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with additional programming languages such as Java or C
  • Experience prototyping web applications using JavaScript
  • Full stack development capabilities
  • Experience analyzing cybersecurity-related data sets , including network traffic and OS events
  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
  • Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing software solutions that analyze large, complex data sets to support mission-critical decision-making
  • Building and expanding upon containerized infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Writing scripts to convert, normalize, and prepare data for downstream analysis and integration
  • Applying DevOps principles and practices to support reliable, repeatable deployments
  • Leveraging AI and ML technologies — including large language models (LLMs) — to build smarter, more capable systems
  • Eliciting requirements directly from stakeholders and evaluating the applicability of AI/ML approaches to meet mission needs
  • Collaborating across engineering and analytic disciplines to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions
