About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for an 18+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in Irving, TX. This role is on the Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) technology team, supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and regulatory reporting. The engineer will design, develop, test, and provide operational support for Java-based microservices, APIs, data processing solutions, and cloud platforms. The team manages five applications, and this position involves maintaining existing ones while merging them into a single, stabilized platform.

Requirements

4+ years of Software Engineering experience
5+ years of experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot
Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular
2+ years of experience with Python for data pipelines
Ability to collaborate with team members to meet project deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Knowledge of OCP/Kubernetes
Experience with Spark
Familiarity with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot

Responsibilities

Consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering
Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based microservices, APIs, and data processing solutions
Partner with product owners, architects, and peer engineering teams to deliver strategic enhancements and support production operations
Review and analyze complex software engineering challenges
Participate in incident resolution, modernization initiatives, and CI/CD practices to drive engineering excellence
