About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer – Level 1 or 2 to join our team based in the Aurora, Colorado area at Buckley AFB. This role involves designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. The engineer will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Responsibilities include determining computer user needs, analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems, preparing operating instructions, and designing and developing compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. The role also ensures software standards are met. This requisition may be filled as either an Associate Software Engineer Level 1 or a Software Engineer Level 2.

Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain and obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (for Associate Software Engineer Level 1)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (for Software Engineer Level 2)
  • Experience with software architecture, design, and development (for Software Engineer Level 2)
  • Experience with Agile leadership (product owner and scrum master), planning, and scheduling (for Software Engineer Level 2)
  • Experience with Technical customer engagement and interaction (for Software Engineer Level 2)
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence (for Software Engineer Level 2)
  • Experience with Perl and Python desirable (for Software Engineer Level 2)
