About The Position

The Software Engineer designs, builds, and optimizes software systems, APIs, and websites that power critical business operations across the organization. In this senior individual-contributor role, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-based applications and integrations, applying strong software engineering practices and modern DevOps principles. Your technical depth, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills will help evolve the company’s digital foundation, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational. Candidates should have a solid foundation in Agile software engineering practices and enjoy working collaboratively within cross-functional teams. They are motivated to build high-quality software, continuously improve their technical skills, and contribute to delivering business value. Requirements

• Writes clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience developing modern full-stack web applications.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
• Participates in Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborates through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Contributes to user story refinement and implementation planning.
• Understands modern software architecture principles including modular design and API-first development.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of application security fundamentals and secure coding practices.
• Experience troubleshooting application issues and resolving defects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Works effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Continuously improves code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Contributes to reducing technical debt and improving engineering practices.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and Angular web applications.
• Build scalable cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and consume APIs, messaging services, and event-driven integrations.
• Build applications using modern .NET technologies including .NET Core.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server database objects, queries, and data access patterns.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards.
• Support DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Monitor application health using logging, monitoring, and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop scalable APIs, web applications, and backend services using modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Translate user stories into well-designed, maintainable software solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices including clean code, modular design, secure development, and automated testing.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and contribute to system reliability and operational excellence.
• Contribute to application modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction efforts.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
• Support application monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge by learning new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
