About The Position

GRVTY is seeking a Software Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. The role involves leveraging programming, software tools, operating systems, and networking to solve collection needs. The engineer will be responsible for gathering mission needs and transforming them into technical requirements, documenting and communicating these requirements for various audiences, and collaborating with other technical teams across organizational boundaries. This position requires deep experience in software development, specifically in back-end programming (not UI).

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
Experience in Systems Administration
Experience analyzing browser network traffic to understand client/server communications and requests.
Experience integrating cloud services including Lambda functions and layers, S3, Batch, EC2, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, IAM roles, DynamoDB, and container services, etc.
Demonstrated experience leveraging a background in programming, software tools and packages, operating systems, and networking to solve collection needs
Deep experience in software development.
Ability to gather mission needs and transform to technical requirements for Sponsor consideration.
Demonstrated experience documenting and communicating technical and non-technical mission requirements for all audiences.
Demonstrated experience working with other technical teams across multiple organizational boundaries.
Demonstrated experience with Python.
Ability to program efficiently (back-end, not UI) in at least one other programing language (NOT Python or JavaScript).
Demonstrated experience installing Linux from scratch and developing complex Unix shell scripts.
Demonstrated experience using AWS Cloud Development Kits (CDK). (CloudFormation, Terraform or similar are NOT substitutes for CDK experience)
Demonstrated experience transforming data in various file formats into common formats, such as JSON, CSV, or XML.
Experience analyzing unknown software code and extracting relevant fields to determine and mimic its behavior.
Ability to develop a software system testing harness or implement a continuous testing methodology on a project.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience with tools, such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, JADX, or APKtool.
Demonstrated experience with multiple cloud providers.
Demonstrated experience with other programming languages besides Python.
