About The Position

The Opportunity: Work across the software development lifecycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure, and production support. Support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities. Optimize and build software and comfortable deploying, automating, troubleshooting, and supporting it in production environments.

Requirements

  • Experience in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software
  • Experience in enhanced infrastructure security protocols
  • Knowledge in Identifying manual processes that can be automated
  • Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure
  • Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently
  • Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations.
  • Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues.
  • Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms.
  • This position requires a TS/SCI and a polygraph within the last 5 years.
  • Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Infrastructure Tools: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Container Platforms: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
  • Works individually or as part of a team.
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
  • Resolves software problem reports.
  • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradc-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
