Enterprise - Software Engineer - JavaScript, REST, CSS

This role involves building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse in a hybrid environment with a great team. Requirements
- At least five (5) years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; three (3) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience.
- Five plus (5+) years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency
- Familiarity with Git or other version control software
- Comfortable working on a nix command line
- Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly
- Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2 days per week at our San Antonio office.
- Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed
- Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.
Nice To Haves
- Current Clearances: Active Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plus
- Previous experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse is a plus
- DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer
Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications
- JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review
- Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences
- Help define and interact with REST based API’s
- Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support
- Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing
- Other duties as assigned
