About The Position

We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer specializing in workflow orchestration and automation. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining core data workflows and automation pipelines using Apache Airflow. You will build reliable, scalable, and highly observable solutions supporting data engineering, analytics, and operational use cases. Working in close collaboration with data engineers, platform teams, and key mission stakeholders, you will ensure end-to-end data workflows remain efficient, secure, and production-ready.

Requirements

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
Hands-on experience using Apache Airflow (including DAG design, custom operators, sensors, scheduling, and monitoring) to orchestrate complex data workflows.
Recent, hands-on software development experience using both Python and Java.
Experience working with distributed Big Data processing engines, including Apache Spark.
Strong operational experience using the Linux CLI, standard Linux utilities, and developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes.
Practical experience with container technologies such as Docker, containerd, or Podman.
Proficiency with Git source control workflows.

Nice To Haves

Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence) for task management and team collaboration.
Familiarity with AWS Cloud services, architecture, and deployment models.
