About The Position

ASM is hiring an early-career Software Engineer to join its Software Engineering team in Singapore and develop software for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and build software that interacts with precision robotics, sensors, motion-control systems, and complex automation. The engineer will develop, test, and improve reliable software, building skills in object-oriented design, multithreading, event-driven architectures, debugging, and modern development using C++, C#, Python, or another object-oriented language. The work includes validating software-hardware integration with real equipment and simulation environments, troubleshooting system interactions, and using Git-based development, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern debugging tools. The role also involves exploring responsible use of AI-assisted development tools and collaborating with engineering teams locally and globally. ASM provides technical mentorship through guidance, code reviews, architecture discussions, and domain onboarding, along with hands-on exposure to semiconductor equipment and simulation. The position offers opportunities to develop expertise in equipment automation, real-time systems, software platforms, hardware-software integration, and systems architecture.
