About The Position

Viasat is hiring an early-career Software Engineer to support its RF Environment Generation (RFEG) line of business within the Government Systems business segment. The role involves helping integrate and test sophisticated RF communication systems, ranging from small-scale, low-density solutions to large, complex, high-density multi-rack systems. The engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines as new capabilities are developed and work with software, hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to design, develop, and test RF stimulator technologies. The work includes developing software to control RF radiation for simulated aircraft and supporting environment-generation systems used by advanced aircraft. This is a site-based position, with employees working at a Viasat office or work location at least three days (60% or more) per week during a standard five-day work week. Onsite and hybrid arrangements are determined by role and team. Relocation assistance may be available subject to eligibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years of full-time, relevant industry experience.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Special Access Programs Clearance.
• Experience with high- and low-level software development environments and languages.
• Experience with C, C++, Java, and Python.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded processors.
