Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, i.e., engineering, computer science, or information sciences
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience with Java and large software development programs
  • 3+ years using Oracle and service-oriented architecture (SOA) interfaces to web-based applications
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Performing engineering assignments relative to the operations and maintenance of the customer system
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding and use of programming skills.
  • Possess a logical and disciplined approach to developing algorithms, analyzing, and solving programming problems in support of the customer system.
  • Perform manual software assurance reviews and automated software assurance reviews.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software or systems to include requirements documentation, design documentation, configuration documentation, test documentation, training materials, and user manuals.
  • Analyze, predict, and estimate potential consequences of changes prior to deployment of software solutions and modifications.
  • Provide scalability, maintainability, and performance documentation prior to implementation of modifications to the customer system.
  • Plan and track any information and new development features for future software releases.
  • Ability to provide software solutions in a cloud-based software development environment, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Facilitate program optimization and performance through software profiling and performance tuning.
  • Assist with software configuration management to include version controls, bug/issue tracking, and software build tools.
