About The Position

Kentro is hiring for a cleared, mid-level Software Engineer to support a government client. The role involves researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs. It also includes analyzing user needs and developing software solutions, updating or enhancing existing software capabilities, and potentially working with computer hardware engineers to integrate systems and develop specifications. Maintaining databases within an application area is also a part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in at least one major language (Python, Java, C#, Javascript)
  • Experience translating requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience in research, design, and development of software
  • Experience with testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Experience developing system specifications and performance requirements
  • Experience with database design and maintenance
  • Experience in code reviews
  • Understanding of system integration (hardware/software interaction)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to take CI Polygraph
  • Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
  • May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
  • May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
