As a Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Miamisburg, OH. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with strong experience in application support, and DevOps practices. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing vendor-based applications, building reliable solutions using .NET technologies, and implementing modern CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work across development, support, and deployment processes. The role also requires a high level of self-management, ownership, and accountability.

Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
  • Develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET Framework
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve defects, performance issues, and integration challenges
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
  • Manage code deployments, releases, and environment configurations across Test, UAT, QA, and Production
  • Ensure system stability, reliability, and performance of critical applications
  • Follow and enforce DevOps best practices, including automation, monitoring, and logging
  • Participate in on-call or support rotation, as needed
  • Develop and support API integrations (REST/SOAP)
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and production support experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities
