As a Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. Software Engineer is responsible for helping the lead with defining and documenting the test strategy for a software project The test strategy is a high-level document that describes the scope, objectives, approach, and methods of testing Responsible for creating and maintaining the test plan and test scripts execution for a software project. The test plan is a detailed document that specifies the test activities, tasks, and deliverables for each phase of the testing process. It also defines the test schedule, environment management, Test data coordination across all applications Should be proficient in knowledge of creating Automation scripts using Karate and Selenium Will work with the QE team and make sure Test Execution is happening appropriately, will help the lead in Triage calls and remove the impediments for the QE team Proficient in creating DB queries for Oracle and MSSQL databases Knowledge on Mongo DB is a good to have skill Proficient knowledge on JIRA- creating dashboards and reports PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. Requirements

  • Proficient in knowledge of creating Automation scripts using Karate and Selenium.
  • Proficient in creating DB queries for Oracle and MSSQL databases.
  • Proficient knowledge on JIRA- creating dashboards and reports.
  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge on Mongo DB is a good to have skill.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, tests and implements software solutions.
  • Designs software solutions to address business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.
  • Defining and documenting the test strategy for a software project.
  • Creating and maintaining the test plan and test scripts execution for a software project.
  • Creating Automation scripts using Karate and Selenium.
  • Working with the QE team to ensure Test Execution is happening appropriately.
  • Helping the lead in Triage calls and removing impediments for the QE team.
  • Creating DB queries for Oracle and MSSQL databases.
