About The Position

ET Claims is modernizing the Enterprise Claims System (ECS) by migrating the application and its database from on premises to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This shift will unlock cloud-native capabilities and empower ET Claims Product Teams to innovate faster. We’re seeking Software Engineers to join the ECS Framework team, responsible for designing and implementing core ECS application enhancements, developing web services, and managing APIs on ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift on AWS) in preparation for migration. What You’ll Do • Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers and architects to modernize ECS using cloud and container technologies. • Develop and maintain scalable, testable, and high-quality software solutions following Kanban workflows. • Work with diverse technologies including WebSphere, IBM MQ, ROSA, Kubernetes (on-prem and cloud), Queues, Caching, and GitOps. • Communicate effectively across teams and locations, contributing ideas and solutions to shape strategy. • Experiment and prototype impactful solutions that drive modernization efforts forward. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience.
  • Front-end development experience with Angular, combined with strong back-end skills in Java, Python, and Go (GoLang).
  • Proficient in leveraging Copilot and automation tools to accelerate development, issue identification, and problem resolution.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager, and scripting.
  • Skilled in container orchestration and deployment using Kubernetes (ROSA and on-premises environments).
  • Experience designing and deploying scalable microservices and APIs, with solid knowledge of automated testing frameworks like JUnit, Jest, and Webdriver.
  • Familiarity with data handling and processing to support application requirements.
  • Experience working with WebSphere applications and Claims Object Based Reference Architecture (COBRA).
  • DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise, including managing CI/CD pipelines using Git, Terraform, and container tools like Docker.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS database solutions such as Aurora Postgres and MongoDB.
  • Strong collaborator and mentor with a passion for learning emerging technologies and translating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
