Space operations increasingly rely on the ability to turn complex data from multiple sources into operational insight that commanders can use quickly and confidently. As the Space Force moves toward its 2040 force design, command and control systems must continue evolving beyond rigid, stove-piped architectures into integrated environments capable of ingesting data rapidly, organizing it logically, and presenting it in ways that support timely operational decisions. Future success depends on systems that combine human judgment with machine-enabled decision support so commanders can assess threats, synchronize actions, and respond across orbital, terrestrial, cyber, and electromagnetic domains. As a Palantir Software Engineer, you will help expand mission applications within Maven Smart System by designing operational data ontologies, mission object models, and workflows that convert operational inputs into usable decision tools. This work directly supports execution of Space Operations Control Plan (SOCP), Space Operations Control Order (SOCO), and Space Operations Coordination Measures (SOCM) by improving how operators and senior leaders visualize, assess, and coordinate complex space activities. A key part of the role is building and governing Foundry data structures that connect operational events, electromagnetic spectrum conflicts, orbital activity, fires synchronization requirements, and command relationships into mission applications that support real-time awareness, clearly display conflicts, and strengthen decision-making during time-sensitive events. This position requires someone who can connect technical architecture to operational execution and improve space domain awareness, orbital deconfliction, fires integration, and command and control modernization.
