About The Position

As a Software Engineer in the Core Data Path (CDP) team at Nutanix, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing reliable, efficient, and high-performance data-path software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid cloud environments. The Core Data Path team deals with foundational aspects of the Nutanix Clusters that are deployed on-premised, in hybrid cloud, or in public cloud. The team works on cutting-edge storage and gateway solutions responsible for ensuring low-latency, high throughput access to data and metadata. Customers run mission critical (Epic, SAP, Databases, VDI) as well as modern workloads (Cloud Native Apps, AI Inference and Training) on these systems. The team focuses on systems architecture for robust, resilient, and self healing distributed storage systems. The work spans across all software layers with opportunity to contribute from the application to kernel level enhancements. Your work will involve understanding complex distributed systems and solving customer requirements by designing innovative solutions. You will also focus on performance, scaling out, and resiliency of distributed storage systems. Working closely with various teams, you will contribute to delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. The role also offers the opportunity to engage with customers and support them in resolving production issues. This position supports Nutanix's mission by maintaining the quality of the Nutanix's next generation Systems for traditional and AI workloads. What makes this role particularly interesting and unique is the chance to design and develop software for state of the art features for, but not limited to, Storage and Gateway solutions for AI Inference Platforms and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure. Requirements

Love for programming with a focus on systems languages such as C/C++, GoLang or Java
Understanding of UNIX/Linux internals
Familiarity and understanding of Systems concepts including Operating Systems, File Systems, Distributed Networked Systems
Bachelor's (or Advanced) degree in Computer Science or related field
Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Can-do attitude while solving difficult problems spanning across multiple teams
Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment

Responsibilities
