About The Position

This role involves creating and utilizing virtual controller models for integration into various virtual simulations. The engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and testing virtual controller components, obtaining and parameterizing sub-system models, integrating plant and other ECU models into dynamic virtual simulations, and developing/maintaining serial data connectivity links. The position is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office. Multiple positions are available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Project Engineer, Design Engineer, or related role.
  • Two years of experience with Python
  • Two years of experience with MATLAB and Simulink in context of plant model development and integration
  • Two years of experience with basic usage of additional simulation tools including GT-Power
  • Two years of experience with Embedded controls software and the automated software build processes including dSPACE VEOS and ETAS INCA tools
  • Two years of experience with Automotive communication technologies such as SENT, LIN, and CAN
  • Two years of experience with Virtual electronic control units (V-ECUs) for engine, propulsion, and transmission controller modules and integrate them in a system-level simulation model
  • Two years of experience with Modeling of Hybrid Vehicle Systems, including mechatronic subsystems, in Simulink, Simscape, or GT-Power
  • Two years of experience with debug/deploy subsystem models as system-level simulation components.

Responsibilities

  • Create or utilize existing virtual controller models to integrate be used across different virtual simulations.
  • Create, maintain, and test virtual controller components such as HWIO, RTOS, communication models, etc.
  • Obtain, develop, and parameterize sub-system models, such as sensors and actuators, and ECU behavioral models.
  • Integrate Plant models and other ECU models into a dynamic virtual simulation.
  • Create and maintain detailed documents for each release.
  • Provide support for released simulations and assist with user testing and troubleshooting.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain serial data connectivity links (bridges) between the cosimulation platform and virtual controllers, models, and tools.

Benefits

  • From day one, we're looking out for your well-being–at work and at home–so you can focus on realizing your ambitions.
