About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on mission-critical projects for national defense. This role involves working on satellite communications (SATCOM) systems within an Agile Development Team, developing robust, secure, and resilient software products that meet high-performance and security standards. The engineer will design, develop, and test software solutions for secure military communications, implement efficient and maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, test case development, and automated testing. The goal is to maintain secure and uninterrupted communication capabilities for critical military systems.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in front and backend software engineering
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps process, tools (Gitlab, Github), and frameworks (Docker and Kubernetes).
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Final secret clearance required to start the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Web based app experience
  • Experience with AstroUx framework
  • Familiarity with modern backend and web frameworks like .Net Core/Spring Boot or Angular/React.
  • Experience with developing automated test cases using tools like Cypress and Playwright (for frontend testing) and Postman (for API validation).
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with military SATCOM systems and secure communication protocols.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), particularly in secure, high-performance applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
