About The Position

The Asset Management Group (AMG) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our Run the Bank (RTB) application portfolio within the Software Reliability & Controls (SRC) organization. This role is focused on production stability, operational excellence, and risk management for mission‑critical systems. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in production environments, takes ownership of system stability, and can partner effectively across infrastructure, security, and application teams to reduce operational risk and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and support systems and software to ensure high availability and production stability
  • Monitor system health and availability, responding to incidents, alerts, and escalations as needed
  • Act as a senior technical resource during production incidents, driving timely resolution and clear communication
  • Perform maintenance activities such as patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and automation, with a strong understanding of production environments and dependencies
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, network, and database layers
  • Partner with internal technology teams to execute production changes safely and in accordance with change management processes
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and production issues
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence
  • Identify recurring issues and drive process improvements and automation to reduce risk and manual effort
  • Develop and maintain documentation for supported systems and applications, including runbooks and operational procedures
  • Ensure system knowledge is documented, current, and accessible to support continuity and resiliency
  • Follow and support application governance, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in business continuity, resiliency, and disaster recovery activities as required
  • Maintain a strong focus on risk awareness and customer impact
