About The Position

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in C++, gRPC, publish/subscribe (pub/sub) design patterns, AMQP or other broker‑based messaging protocols, and the Linux Operating System. This position is located at a facility that requires special access, and the selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.

Requirements

Generally has 3-5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Strong background in Java development, object oriented design, design patterns.
Experience in FOSS storage solutions, and deployment or optimization of software defined storage solutions (to include technologies like Rook CEPH, Mayastor, Longhorn, NetApp Trident).
Familiarity with Linux OS, command line, and shell scripting.
Secret Clearance eligibility, Interim Secret required to start.
Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and Helm Charts.
Experience with Object Broker / PubSub communication patterns such as CORBA and gRPC.
Familiarity with software pipeline automation tools like Gradle.
Familiarity with configuration technologies like JSON and YAML.
Experience with Gitlab.
