About The Position

At PNC, the Software Engineer Senior role within the Digital Channels organization is based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. This position is responsible for the detailed technical design and development of software solutions utilizing existing and emerging technology platforms. Key aspects include proposing and designing solutions for complex business needs, writing, testing, and deploying software, and preparing necessary technical and procedural documentation. The role also involves maintaining and debugging software. PNC expects its employees to be customer-focused, prioritizing customer needs and satisfaction in all business decisions to create customized solutions. Requirements

Appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
Bachelors degree.
Candidates being considered for this position will be subject to additional background checks as established by the specific government client contract.

Responsibilities

Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
Writes code, tests and deploys software.
Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
Maintains and debugs software.
Be Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Be Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
