Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer located Kettering, OH (Dayton/WPAFB area) to support two programs on our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), the Automated Project Order (APO) Form System automates the AFMC Form 181 process and coordination, which is used to obligate Depot Purchased Equipment Maintenance (DPEM) funds for project workloads. The system was designed to provide the workload and financial status for all end items repaired organically and identifies the need for adjustments of funds. The emphasis of the system is to provide access to the status of documents as approved, rejected, or canceled; notify users when they need to access the accounting and finance system to commit funds; maintain a historical record of transactions; and allow for the extraction of data for summarization and reports. The system offers on-line data access to all authorized users at HQ AFMC, the three Air Logistics Centers (ALCs), and the DFAS Operating Location (OPLOC) at San Bernardino. APO does NOT handle the funds process; it requests confirmation from individuals responsible for committing and obligating funds. The system provides financial integrity and ensures work processes are not started unless proper funds are available. Users of the system are those individuals involved in the financial process used to fund organic and contract repair requirements for the ALCs. This includes, but is not limited to, Depot Maintenance Activity Group (DMAG) and Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG) financial personnel located at HQ AFMC and the ALCs, financial personnel located at AMARC, Air Force (AF) Financial Services Office (FSO) funds certifiers, Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) funds obligation personnel.
