About The Position

Lockheed Martin's SOF GLSS Team, a leader in tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Fayetteville, NC. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups. This role involves planning, conducting, and coordinating MS SQL development activities, designing and documenting database architecture for new and existing software applications, and applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. The engineer will also apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be designed in business/mission applications, and information processing techniques. Responsibilities include correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition. This position supports the Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract for the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).

Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC), QA methodologies, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Ability to create and execute functional, negative, regression, and end-to-end test cases.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting bugs and collaborating with developers.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Requires a government security clearance; must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  • Coding knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for writing test scripts.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman and understanding of RESTful services.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Proficiency in SQL for backend verification and data validation.
