About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a skilled Software Engineer - Product Owner (Level 4) to join a dynamic team in delivering custom cloud web applications tailored to meet our aerospace & defense industry customers' needs. The selected Software Engineer will be involved in all phases of the software engineering process. This position is available for full on-site work at either Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Florida Space Coast, or Denver, Colorado. US Citizenship is required, and the applicant must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. This position is contingent on contract funding and a start date in the fall of 2026.

Requirements

Decomposition of Software Capabilities into Software Features, and into User Stories
User Story development
Software Application Backlog grooming experience
Experience with software requirements
Experience with capturing and designing user workflows
Experience with conducting software demos and capturing feedback
US Citizenship Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience with developing and maintaining quarterly Agile Rolling-Wave schedules
Software testing experience
Software documentation experience

Responsibilities

Accelerate software application development as an Agile Product Owner
Decompose software capabilities into features, and then into user stories
Write user stories, and identify acceptance criteria
Maintain, scrub and prioritize the product backlog for Agile planning
Obtain software application stakeholder feedback for backlog prioritization and user-story development
Employ continuous improvement methodology
