About The Position

SAIC’s Solutions & Technology Group is seeking a Principal Level Software Developer to help design, develop, and deploy a next-generation Agentic AI Platform. The role involves building intelligent, autonomous agent frameworks and modern web applications that support complex decision-making workflows. The developer will work across the full stack, from front-end user experiences to backend services and cloud infrastructure. The position can be worked remotely anywhere in the United States for the right candidate.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 9 years of experience, or a master’s degree and 7 years of experience.
Pass the CompTIA Security Plus Examination within 270 days of employment.
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Experience building front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience developing backend services and APIs, including RESTful service design and complex business logic implementation, using languages such as Python, Java, or NodeJS.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative agile environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS for modern, component-based web applications.
Ability to style and design front-end applications for usability and visual consistency.
Python development experience, particularly for backend service development.
Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and/or LangSmith.
Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, autonomous workflow design, or LLM integration patterns.
Experience with AWS cloud services, including one or more of OpenSearch, SageMaker, Lambda, and SQS.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Packer, and Terragrunt.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain front-end web applications using modern web technologies.
Build and style responsive interfaces to provide a polished and effective user experience.
Develop and maintain backend REST services and business logic supporting platform capabilities and agentic AI workflows.
Contribute to agentic AI components, including integrations with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith.
Support development and deployment of cloud-based services and infrastructure on AWS, using tools such as OpenSearch, SageMaker, Lambda, and SQS.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Packer, and Terragrunt.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, architects, and product owners to turn requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.
Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization of platform components.
Maintain documentation for system architecture, APIs, and development processes.
Provide feedback and mentoring to junior developers.
