As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Enterprise Garage Tech Resiliency organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is not available in all geographical areas. Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs. Oversees technical and procedural documentation required. Leads complex problem solving. Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development. Requirements

5 years of experience in software development with strong focus on Python
Strong knowledge of Python Web framework technologies such as FastAPI, Flask, Django
Experience with Celery
Experience with ORMs, specifically Django ORM, Sqlalchemy
Experience writing Ansible Playbooks and using AAP (Or equivalent product such as Ansible Tower/AWX)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and automated testing tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams.
University / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable Python-based enterprise solutions.
Guide teams in implementing best practices in coding, design, security, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Evaluate and implement appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks.
Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, and scalability.
Support DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs.
Oversees technical and procedural documentation required.
Leads complex problem solving.
Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
Displays an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
