About The Position

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support a lab environment, providing assistance to customers who are developing and testing experiments. The role involves developing capabilities to address common problems faced by various analyst offices, prototyping to extend enterprise services, supporting analytics, enhancing machine learning, and developing commercial cloud solutions. The engineer will also support the integration and evaluation of open-source technologies, emerging technologies, and new COTS applications. This position requires direct interaction with customers, developers, and data scientists to gather requirements and feedback, as well as experience integrating with customer cloud-based data systems and installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.
Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
Eleven (11) years of direct/relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Strong development experience in a variety of languages (ex., java, python).

Responsibilities

Develop capabilities designed to help solve common problems arising from various analyst offices.
Prototype development to extend enterprise services, support analytics, enhance machine learning, and develop commercial cloud solutions.
Support the integration and evaluation of open source, emerging technologies, and new COTS applications.
Work directly with customers, developers, or data scientists to gather requirements and feedback.
Experience integrating with customer's cloud-based data systems.
Experience installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation.
