About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) in Beavercreek, Ohio is seeking Full Stack Web Developers with DevSecOps and automation experience. We are looking for engineers who enjoy building high‑quality software, automating everything they can, and working in modern cloud and microservices environments. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering for web‑based systems integrated into a microservice, cloud‑based architecture. You will work closely with other software developers and stakeholders.

Requirements

Software Engineer (Level 2): High school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience OR master’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with 0 years of experience
Principal Software Engineer (Level 3): High school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience OR master’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience
Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD automation
Experience with Helm and Kubernetes
Exposure to / experience with microservices, Swagger, and API definitions
Working knowledge of Agile development processes
Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with small technical teams
Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre‑requisite)

Nice To Haves

Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Angular, React, TypeScript, Java, Python, Rust, Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic, jQuery, Bootstrap, Jira, GitLab Pipelines
Experience with relational, graph, or document databases
Demonstrated use of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
Experience working with Jira and GitLab
Experience working in an Agile software development environment
