Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems at scale
- Strong backend engineering skills in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, etc.)
- Experience designing APIs, data models, and scalable service architectures
- Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver practical, reliable solutions quickly
- Strong ownership mindset with experience building foundational systems
- Solid understanding of system reliability, performance, and security best practices
Nice To Haves
- Experience with identity, access control, or enterprise access management systems
- Familiarity with security and authentication/authorization patterns
- Experience working on platform or infrastructure teams
- Exposure to high-scale systems or data-intensive applications
- Background in fast-paced startup environments
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core backend systems that power platform operations, including contracts, payouts, and fraud-related workflows
- Design and implement identity and access management systems to ensure secure, just-in-time access across the platform
- Translate complex operational requirements into scalable, reliable backend services
- Improve system reliability, security, and performance across foundational infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to support high-impact platform initiatives
- Contribute to internal tooling and platform improvements that enhance developer productivity and system robustness
- Operate in a fast-moving environment, flexing across teams and priorities as needed
