About The Position

Cloudflare's People team supports over 5,000 employees globally. To scale effectively, the team is building an AI-driven operating layer on the Cloudflare Developer Platform. This platform aims to automate workflows, ensure data integrity, and streamline employee support. The role involves shipping production systems for hiring, onboarding, and self-service, utilizing AI to create leverage while implementing rigorous guardrails for sensitive employee data.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background (TypeScript, Python, or Go) building internal tools or platform services.
• Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, and prompt evaluation.
• Expertise in system-to-system integrations, identity, and event-driven workflows.
• Exceptional judgment regarding privacy, data minimization, and operational risk.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in internal platform engineering or compliance-heavy environments.
• Proficiency with React, Drizzle, Zod, and Postgres.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate AI-assisted workflows using the full Cloudflare stack.
• Integrate People systems via secure API, OAuth, and webhook patterns.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, Legal, and Security to translate operational pain into technical solutions.
• Implement robust authorization, audit logging, and error handling for high-trust data.
