About The Position

DS2 is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to contribute to high-impact projects and technical initiatives. DS2 provides full life-cycle software engineering services to DoW, federal, and commercial clients, emphasizing teamwork, customer focus, and hiring talented individuals. Engineers at DS2 meet client needs through problem-solving, teamwork, and technology-driven solutions in an environment that values both hard work and work-life balance. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
  • Motivated and energetic developer that manages time well and can prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience developing backend applications, implementing APIs, and designing relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Background in developing mission planning applications for the DoW
  • Examples of code or applications you’ve built that we can check out
  • Proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
  • Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating feature-rich applications
  • Conduct research for, report on, and create proof-of-concepts and prototypes for R&D projects
  • Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible
