CrowdStrike seeks passionate, innovative individuals committed to customers, community, and each other. The CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. The "sensor" is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-box prevention, and sends remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. This sensor processes thousands of events per second for deep endpoint visibility and performs correlation and computation to identify and block malicious events. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry, correlates behavior across machines, and presents prioritized threat summaries to customer operations teams. This role is for a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Linux sensor team, responsible for the design and development of core features on the platform. These features will impact core OS subsystems like file system, memory, process, and networking, with potential for shared components across Windows and Mac. The team follows Agile development principles and ships frequently. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week on-site.

Requirements

  • Can develop high-quality code in C/C++ and can demonstrate that capability, be it through job experience, schoolwork, or contributions to community projects
  • Experience on Linux or Unix developing product code with the following characteristics: High concurrency requirements needing strong use of multi-threading, High reliability requirements, Detailed requirements on low-level operating characteristics (memory usage, efficient performance, correct conformance to external standards)
  • Experience working on a team to ship major features and releases
  • Able to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
