About The Position
Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer in the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML-driven systems within a cloud-based infrastructure. This position focuses on building high-performance, scalable applications and enabling automation through infrastructure as code. The role involves working with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing systems to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 14+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience with AI/ML development or integration
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS cloud environments
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Go
- Experience developing high-performance and/or GPU-enabled applications
- Experience working with large-scale streaming data analytics systems
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing and new software systems
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications, including GPU-enabled solutions
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform in AWS environments
- Develop and optimize backend services using C++, Python, and/or Go
- Support and enhance large-scale streaming data analytics platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy robust software solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues
