About The Position

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to guide and contribute to the development of applications utilizing the Microsoft stack (.Net, C#, SQL Server, Azure). This role involves driving the adoption of cloud and agile methodologies, overseeing code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices. The lead will actively write, test, and optimize code, troubleshoot technical issues, and balance development with leadership responsibilities. Key aspects include managing and mentoring a team of developers, conducting performance evaluations, facilitating time tracking and resource planning, and mitigating project risks. Collaboration with stakeholders, fostering open communication, and encouraging cross-functional teamwork are essential. The role also involves advocating for and implementing modern development practices like CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps, as well as adopting cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

8 years of software development experience.
Experience with Cloud technologies to deploy applications to public clouds like Azure.
Extensive experience in developing software applications using Object-Oriented languages like Java or C#.
Experience in using automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform to install applications or deploy resources to servers automatically.
Extensive experience with Database Frameworks like (SQL, Oracle etc.) to store application data.
Experience in leading teams to develop software applications and deploy them to production environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and participate in the hands-on development of applications using the Microsoft stack (.Net, C#, SQL Server, Azure).
