Software Engineer Lead (Java Fullstack Development)

Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions. Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required. Facilitates complex problem resolution. Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software. Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities. Requirements
- Strong hands-on design and development experience with Java and Spring
- Solid understanding of software architecture and microservices
- Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes is required
- Experience designing and developing solutions using Kafka, MQ and REST APIs
- Proficiency in database design and optimization, including Mongo DB and Oracle DB
- Experience in DevOps CI/CD and Jenkins build/deploys
- Experience using Eclipse, IntelliJ, Gradle, Maven.
- University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
Nice To Haves
- Banking/payments background is preferred
- JavaScript and Angular experience is a plus
- Experience working with Elastic-Search and Redis is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, application security, and scalability best practices.
- Experience with Agile software development methodology
