About The Position

Develop software applications to control automated material handling equipment for use within manufacturing, warehousing and distribution industries. Perform in-house testing with software and hardware emulators. Create operator and administrator training manuals and materials. Install systems at customers site and perform on-site integration with automated equipment. Train operators. Provide ongoing support including after-hours support on a rotational basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in Application development (or equivalent experience) in the Windows Operating System environment and Visual Basic, C/C++ and/or JAVA programming languages.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and technical procedures or operation manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills (English language).
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Excellent judgment, troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to use standard statistical analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • A valid drivers license and good driving record are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle or SQL Server Database Experience
  • Experience with Automated Material Handling Systems is preferred
