About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a junior software engineer to develop efficient, user-focused software in an agile environment, taking solutions from initial vision through production. The role uses contemporary architectural approaches, open-source frameworks, and tools to deliver end-to-end client solutions. The engineer will analyze existing architecture and operating environments, account for future functionality and enhancements, and help identify and implement system improvements while developing skills with new tools and techniques.

Requirements

Experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks, including C# or C++.
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Knowledge of designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications.
Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years of experience with C# or C++ in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, Azure, AWS, or Drupal.
Knowledge of Agile methodology.
Ability to write source code for new applications or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications.
Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.
Top Secret clearance.
