As our next Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation! A week in the life of a Software Engineer, Journeyman includes: Design, develop, document, test and debug software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics. Confer with systems engineers, aerospace engineers, electrical engineers, developers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Integrate hardware / software in our System Integration Lab (SIL) Participate in ground and flight testing of the developed autopilot and avionics systems. Develop software using C/C++ and the Qt framework. Develop avionics software in a hard real-time environment. Develop avionics software in accordance with DO-178C. Ensure software standards within our AS9100D quality management system are met.

Requirements

  • BS Computer Engineering or Computer Science Required
  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience with C/C++ and Qt.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in the field of aircraft avionics
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience with a Real Time Operating System
  • Active DoD Secret security Clearance

  • MS Computer Engineering Preferred

Responsibilities
