About The Position
Speechify is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to support its growing user base and work on new projects. The company's mission is to ensure reading is never a barrier to learning, with over 50 million users benefiting from its text-to-speech products. Speechify operates in a 100% distributed setting with no offices. The role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys fast-paced environments, is passionate about product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences. Speechify is a flat organization that values excellent technical skills, consistent delivery, strong work ethic, solid communication, and an obsession with winning. The interview process is designed to be completed within one week.
Requirements
- Experience working on products that scaled to a large user base
- Track record of working on various products from inception to decent traction, with responsibility for engineering the product
- Customer obsession: constantly obsessed about providing the best possible experience
- Product thinking: make thoughtful decisions about product evolution and support internal teams and designers
- Speed: work quickly to generate ideas and decide what can ship now versus what needs time
- Focus: ability to engage or be heads down in a busy, remote startup environment
- Swift Programming Language
- SwiftUI experience
- Experience in Multithreading Programming
- Working with CI/CD infrastructure
- Experience with Fastlane
- SOLID principles, the ability to write every single class according to SOLID
- Experience with Git and understanding of different Git strategies
Responsibilities
- Lead key engineering and product decisions
- Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
- Work within a dedicated product team
- Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
- Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture
